Mounted on a pair on the ceiling above my dartboard & they light it up perfectly.If you are looking to showcase a treasured item in a otherwise dim room, I confidently think this will work for you.Looks far nicer when mounted than you should expect at this price point also...

We’re a big fan of directional lighting in this house — no overheads here unless I’m cleaning. We had a couple of dark corners and didn’t need a lamp, and we stuck one of these in a plant for uplighting and another behind a frame that’s in a ledge for backlighting. It ups the moodiness and we’ve really enjoyed!

The lights are great for my purpose- accenting Christmas displays, but both remotes are useless. Only the two dimming buttons do anything (turning the color to green)I tried new batteries but still useless.Since you can utilize all functions with a button on the light base, this doesn't matter to me. The light will turn itself off after four hours which may matter to some but is fine for my purposes.

These are perfect to use anywhere in the house. I have them hanging over pictures in my living room. Perfect!!! Easy to mount and they run on batteries.

Bought my first set, loved the design and remote, but one of the two had a manufacturing flaw and the whole lamp portion glowed like a torch, too distracting to even use. Though the remotes worked flawlesly. So, I decided to order another set, this was a disaster (Amazons fault!) this set was USED! NOT NEW, no remotes, no mounting hardware, both units had leaking batteries in them with battery acid all over. Returned these (still have not receive confirmation of the return after two weeks) for a third set, This set was new and complete, both lamps performed perfectly, but the remotes have been very problematic, at first the remotes would not turn the lamps on at all (thus preventing ceiling mounting) but all other remote features worked just fine, now after a week or so, the power on works sometimes but not consistently. Even with all of this drama, we do love the lighting they provide for our paintings. So all in all a win, but not sure I would bet on another set working properly.

When this super little spotlight works, it's awesome but of the 8 I have ordered, 3 did not work from the outset and one cannot be controlled by its remote. The other 5 work perfectly well. Also, when I rated the first 2, noting that one was not working, I was promptly offered two complimentary but that never happened. I still say, that when they work, they are excellent!
