I use this controller on a trailer mounted winch, so that I can steer a car onto the trailer while winching. It works great for my application. However, there is about a half second delay between starting and stopping, ie. click "in" > 0.5s > winch begins winding > let go of "in" > 0.5s > winch stops. In an application where precise control is necessary, you may want a hardwired controller. Note, its possible to have both. I wired mine with two controllers (wired and wireless) in parallel.Lastly, the install was relatively simple compared to other winch controllers I have installed. instructions are short but concise, simply mount the terminals on the solenoid (not included) as shown. Overall, I would buy this again if I needed another one.

Not a really good product, I ordered 2 units and so 1 unid the Yellow-Wire linked to the IN command, didn’t worked. The other unit only one Transmitter (Remote-Controller) Functioned.

Great product and was able to adapt to my harbor freight wireless winch. Directions were just ok but also keep in handy crimp connectors or solder.

Very inexpensive and the housing is a little cheap but it works well. People complain about a delay, but I think it is probably common to most of these types of solenoid-powered systems.

I'm an electrician so it was easy to install. When I used the remote it would work when the "in" button was depressed but not when the "out" button is depressed. Will try the return procedure and attempt to rectify this issue.
