Received the box and it was sealed. However, inside, 2 of the sealed packages of the 5 were torn and the packs were dried out. Bad value.

Twice the product, half the cost; same effectiveness.

My original acoustic guitar developed a split at the seam on the top (soundboard) many years ago. It was in my case for a while, and the sponge-style humidifier dried out over time. Ever since then, I've been more careful with my acoustic instruments. This style is much easier to use - just open the packet when you are ready to use it, and stick one or two of them into the case with the instrument. They also re-absorb moisture, if that scenario ever happens, to keep an instrument from getting too humid.

I have been using different kinds of humidifiers for my guitars for many years. The humidity packet types are my favorite for putting inside of acoustic guitar cases. I have been using the D'Addario system successfully for a few years, but the replacement packets are expensive. These are a much, much deal. They do not come with a pouch to hang over your strings, but I was able to use the ones I had.I also use these to calibrate my hygrometers. I place the hygrometer in a plastic bag with the packet and seal it tight. After 24-48 hours I check the reading on the hygrometer to see if it reads 49% or if I need to calibrate it. Great for making sure that the humidity in my guitar room is accurate.Great product at a great price.

I live in the swamp in south Florida, its 60-100% humidity here all the time, and every other humidity control I’ve used quickly filles with moisture, I can’t tell if these are absorbing anything after months inside a guitar case that is regularly opened they feel the same as when I got them, dry.

Even when it was 40% in my house my guitar case never got above 44%. On days it was 34% never got to 40% in the case. Tried in both a quality soft case and a hard case. A wet sponge in a baggie worked better.RETURNED

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Does not work. I've got 3 packs in my violin case, didn't do anything. Get Boveda instead, don't cheap out for this
