I'm using these for freeze drying, and I love that they are individually sealed! Most oxygen absorbers I have gotten have several in each sealed bag, and more often than not, I don't need that many at a time. You need to keep these sealed until you are using them, because they start to absorb oxygen/moisture as soon as they are out of the package. When there is a lot in the package, they all start working, and if you don't need them all at once, some of them have to be thrown away. This is not the case with these, because of their individual packaging! I'm excited about these ones! I used them in a canning jar with some freeze dried foods, and it pulled the oxygen enough to seal the lid so that it doesn't pop when you push on it. So it looks like they are working pretty well. I'm very pleased with them.

Perfect for food preservation and preventing mildew in closed spaces. I threw these in with some food that I was sealing in mylar bags - and I'm assuming these did the trick. I also tossed one in my safe - sometimes it gets a little mildewy in there, and these seem to solve that issue nicely. Perfect!

No weird smells or anything. These are pretty standard “do not eats†as we call them. Work great in conjunction with vacuum seal bags for maximum storage quality, but I like them for any container I’m getting into frequently.Nothing complicated about them, just drop in and close the container.

The Good: * These are the smaller version (they also sell a 20g version), but they do a great job as long as you pull out as much air ahead of time as possible * They draw down both Oxygen and moisture, which is great * They come in a very tough resealable outer pouch, but each one is also individually packaged, so you don't have to worry about these getting used up just by existing. * They are safe to be in contact with food (not all are, this is a big deal for me) * Pretty good price for the dual duty absorbers ($7.99 at time of review for 30)The Meh: * Nothing so far, we've only sealed a few things thoughThe Bad: * Not a thingThe Verdict:Definitely recommend so far.As I mentioned, we've only sealed a few things, but we have seen the vacuum draw down more after sealing, which means they are working. We'll keep an eye on things and update the review if things change or they don't appear to have worked when we open things in a month or two to verify.

This is my 1st time using oxygen absorbers so I don’t really know how to tell if they’re working. So far they seem good.

We have a food dehydrator and a chamber vacuum sealer in our home. No, we're not preppers, but we do grow fruits and veggies in our garden and sometimes it's the best way of preserving an overabundance of fruit ripening all at once. Sure, you can freeze stuff, but that takes up precious room in the freezer and we don't have any left to spare. In situations when vacuum sealing the dried foods just won't work (like with delicate ingredients), these do a great job of eliminating the oxygen and moisture in the sealed bag and preventing issues like rancidity or microbial growth. Heck, we even like to throw one into a bag of chips when we need to reseal it to prevent them from going stale. If you have a freeze dryer, these will probably take your preserved foods into the next century. Alas, I do not own one of those (it's on my list), but can still appreciate several of the many uses of these handy little packets.

I keep this in the fruit drawer in my refrigerator to keep it fresh longer. Love that I can put them in with food.

These oxygen and moisture absorbents are small but seemed to work well. I used them in the refrigerator and my shoes. I know they are mainly used for food, but they most certainly worked in my shoes as well. I liked how they really took out the moisture from my shoes. These also removed the odors as well. These are really easy to use. You unpack them, and literally put them where you need them. In the fridge, I used them in the drawer with the fruits. These seemed to make the fruits last a little longer.
