We had to get these for one of our cats who was constantly locking himself in the bathroom. If we close the door, all of the cats just sit outside the room and yell, so for the sake of peace, the door has to stay open at least a crack. However, my precious dumb baby kept knocking the door shut, locking himself in sometimes all day, until one of us got home from work. (Again, dumb baby. At least he pooped in the bathtub.) Anyway, we found more expensive options that were either the same as this, or way more complicated than we needed them to be. This leaves no marks, is easy to move, and does exactly what we need it to, at a good price. Kitties are happy, nobody's stuck in the bathroom, and peace reigns (in this instance, anyway.)

With my cat's litter box in the mechanical room, I needed something that would prevent the door from accidentally closing shut. These guards are made from white foam that is rigid enough to keep the door from shutting but soft enough to keep it from doing any damage to the door frame. Great invention and a reasonable price too.

I work from home and needed a way to keep my office door open for my cats but closed so my wife doesn't hear me talking to customers/coworkers. These were an affordable solution that are doing the job well. I put one in the middle of the top part of my door and it leaves a 4"-5" gap for my cats to come and go as they feel.

We use these to ensure our pets don't get closed in rooms in our home. One is on our bathroom door, and it's a breeze to slip it off and close the door behind you. When in use they stay secure on the door and do their job. It's a little annoying to pay for what is essentially a piece of foam, but for the convenience and ease of use it is worth it. If you just can't reconcile with that, I'm confident a cut up pool noodle or some other improvisation could do the job.

Does the job. Keeps the door open at whatever point you slide it at to prevent closure. Sturdy design but easy to move. Good price.

I use these with the Door Buddy Door Strap & Latch... They stop the door from closing, so the cat can get in and out of the room, while the door strap keeps the dog out. This gives her a safe and quiet place to eat and/or use her litter (or just to chill away from a prying puppy).I can't rave enough about this little set up. If you have pets, I think you'll find this to be a great alternative to the pet/baby gate.

Nothing negative - it does what I needed it to- protects a very old wooden trunk from the bedroom door hitting it and damaging the trunk!!

I use this to protect my toddler grandchild from jamming hid fingers in doors. His favorite pass time is opening and closing them at the moment. These work like a charm and are easy to remove when not needed.

Nice and soft foam and fits the large doors I have but they are quite thick which means the door is left open more than I wanted- about an inch and a bit.Not a problem but mentioning in case anyone wanted the door to be almost closed!
