It's actually made in Germany (at least it says so right on the front scale and molded into the plastic on the bottom), and it shows. Pretty accurate--I set it to both 60 and 120 bpm and it is in sync with the seconds display on a digital clock (takes several minutes before a drift is noticeable). Beat spacing is even as well, i.e. at 60 bpm, both the "tick" and the "tock" coincide with an equivalent change in the seconds display. Housing is high-quality plastic, front scale is metal and the markings on the scale *do* correctly line up with the detents on the swing arm.

This specific model was grouped together with the wood finished versions and is only half the size. The description is all wrong. If you were wanting a high end model this is not it!

Functionally great, aesthetically not so much. Many reviewers have mentioned this and I agree. The plastic look if it is off putting. The metal mechanisms and timing controls are good, though.

This was described as wooden and is cheap plastic. Nothing on this metronome is made out of wood. Very very overpriced at $69 for a small plastic metronome.

Excellent bit of kit. Well made, highly accurate and fairly robustNot overly keen on the plastic housing but, overall I would not hesitate to recommend, or buy againVery easy to use and does exactly what it should.

I think this was well made, would have been incredibly precise and trustworthy, but we were looking for something that encased that as well. The casing was plastic, didn’t weigh much… it’s the sort of thing where the carriage doesn’t represent the engine well enough. For the price it wasn’t enough, for us.
