This filter doesn't use glue to connect the upper and lower filter together like fram does. Used a fram and the glue disintegrated by ethanol in the fuel. Now I only use wix fuel filters in my boat. No glue to disintegrate and they hold up longer than fram.

I ordered one of these and it arrived smelling like gasoline. Returned it, ordered a second one, and it also smelled like gasoline.I seriously doubt that Wix flow tests its fuel filters before shipping them. And I have a new in the box Fram fuel filter that has essentially no odor, certainly not that of gasoline.Come on, Amazon. You are better than this...

I ordered qty of 3. Two were brand new (packaging, etc.), but one looked like it had been on someones shelf for +20 years - box dirty and mangled and had obviously been opened and closed many times. The filter in this mangled shipment itself is also different than the newer ones, but still meets specifications - it was probably just an old design.
