Works well for my classic car as a replacement for the felt or paper oil filter element, and is much easier to install.

I saved about 6 or 7 dollars and loads more on shipping by ordering this here rather than on moss for my 1970 MGB GT which was built in october of 69 before they switched to screw on type filters. the smallest/thinnest ring fit best and be sure you get the old one out. You will probably need a pin or similar if it is old as mine was. very easy installation as well I dont believe there is a specific orientation either but make sure you smear new oil on the rubber seals on the top and bottom of the filter. If you have any of the early MGBs this filter should work for you and is a much better option than those conversion kits that make your car use screw on filters.

Wix makes good oil filters. If you have a 1969 MGB with the vertical oil filter, this should be the one you need!
