Rather than paying $175 for a shop to put in a new fuel filter, I opted to do it myself. I spilled a little gas while doing it, but got the job done.Eight months later, I haven't had any issues with this filter and my car runs like a champ.

FAILED IN 6 MONTHS - The fuel pressure regulator inside this style of filter failed. Straight up simply stopped holding fuel pressure after 6 months.NOTE: The OEM Bosch fuel filter/regulator lasted 18 years.OEM is not always necessary but here you will want to pay the extra 20-30$ because it will save your sanity when you have to redo this after 6 months.The joy of DIY!
