History of Adirondack Chairs
The Adirondack chair is an outdoor lounge chair with wide armrests, a tall slatted back, and a seat that is higher in the front than the back. The Adirondack chair is a seat designed for outdoor lounging. Why is it called Adirondack?
That designer, Irving Wolpin, rounded the seat of the chair for improved comfort. Over the next several decades, many other designers modified the original Westport outdoor chair. Eventually, the chair began going by the name Adirondack after the Adirondack Mountains near where Thomas Lee originally created it.

These chairs are top quality! We've been looking online and locally (Florida) for the past couple of years. We didn't want to spend $300 per chair but we also didn't want to put good money into a bad product. These are actually better than the ones we've seen at furniture stores going for $350. They're heavy enough you don't need to worry about them getting blown over by heavy winds, but not so heavy you can't move them. Assembly was simple and straightforward. Everything lined up perfectly. They're very comfortable and sturdy, no creaking or shifting. We couldn't be happier and may even purchase two more for around our pool.

These chairs are extremely comfortable, easy to assemble, and the materials used are first-class quality. Please follow directions for assembly, and do not tighten any hardware until the chair is completely assembled. Then, tighten all the hardware and you’ll find the fittings are perfectly aligned and accurate. I purchased and assembled six of these. Only one had a defective part. The manufacturer responded quickly and replace this part without question. An extremely good experience.

This is a nice chair and the directions are some of the best from a China made product. But it seems like every time I get a product from China something isn’t right. This time the nuts and screws were stripped and made putting it together impossible without a trip to Menards.I’m going to call these guys and have them send me out another parts package before I order another chair to match this one for the cedar patio I built for my wife’s flower garden.Oh! Be sure you have a ratchet set and rubber hammer when you put this chair together! You’ll be glad you do. Gave it 4 stars because of the basic quality of the chair.PS. Ordered another chair and all the parts were satisfactory. This really a well bit chair (42 lbs. ). It sure won’t blow off your deck! But tried to contact the company but no response! Customer service doesn’t seem to exist 😳 To bad.

I managed to put one chair together alone! I think I’ll ask my husband to help with the second one! I had to use arms, legs, hands and feet! This chair is heavy! And very sturdy!Update after one year- they have faded considerably! For the amount I paid I expected them to stay bright a bit longer!

We've had several Adirondack Chairs. The wooden ones last about 2 years then they just crumble. The cheap flimsy plastic chairs crack and break. I am a big guy pushing 290lbs and I tend to crush chairs. I need a chair that is roomy and can handle the weight. These chairs are sturdy like iron. They take a little while to assemble but the hardware and instructions are awesome. Well engineered product. I expect these will last a long time.

I'm officially in love, and can't wait for the lime green one to arrive!! Took around 45 mins to put together, but it was well worth the effort!! Very sturdy, great color, super comfortable--- summer, here I come!!! Will definitely be ordering more in different colors!!

These chairs are fantastic! I have been shopping around for Adirondack chairs on various websites and in my local area, but everything was more than I really wanted to spend considering I needed to buy six chairs. I stumbled upon these on Amazon for an incredible deal and free shipping, so I thought I would give them a shot and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase!Chairs arrived within three days, were very well packed and protected, easy to put together, extremely comfortable and absolutely stunning around my fire pit! I think the pictures speak for themselves.And I absolutely love the “weathered woodâ€color that I chose… these really look like high-end chairs without the high-end price tag!
