Used this on a tool cabinet with wooden drawer runners. It was VERY easy to use, VERY tough and the adhesive is SUPER strong. Heavy drawers on wood runners glide like on ice. I've since used this tape on lots of projects and highly recommend it. Tape is .007 thk and liner is on the bottom as it comes off the roll. Liner is easy to separate and tape trims well with a razor blade. I would give this 6 Stars if I could.

This is nice tape and very useful. I've used it on drawers and door latch striker plate instead of grease for smoother operation when closing. Definitely handy to have on hand.

This is super slick and worked for a sliding fold away handle. I knocked off one star because it was a bit thinner than I expected, and the roll was oblong rather than round This made it difficult to unroll the tape without it spilling all over, but it adhered well and worked for the application.

This tape is thin and slick - it fits between the surfaces that I want to reduce friction between and allows them to slide past each other easily. I applied this tape to reduce the noise (and friction between bypass closet doors and their frames) and it works!

I have a gorgeous, 1930s vintage solid mahogany desk, originally from the DuPont company, in use in my home office since the 70s. For a number of years, I've been concerned about the wood-to-wood contact between the bottom drawer sliders and the frame itself, and the wear it produces., but I was unaware of any effective remedy. Then I happened upon this product on Amazon and decided to give it a try. A few reviewers commented that they had some issues re the strength of adhesion of the tape. I strongly recommend prepping the wood surface to be taped by cleaning them with rubbing alcohol followed by ample drying time. After applying the tape, I pressed it against the wood surface with my fingers (working from the center to the edges) and then burnished the tape surface with the metal barrel of a ballpoint pen (any smooth plastic tool would do). The resulting adhesion is incredible. But the best part came after reinstalling and sliding the drawers open and shut. Gone completely was the dry rubbing sound (and dust production). The drawers, even those carrying the most weight, now glide quietly and smoothly, as though on Teflon bearings. Thanks to this tape, this beautiful and well used piece of furniture is now ready for decades more use. Buy it with no worries!

This tape is supposed to be durable and anti-friction. It’s definitely expensive, but the durable part is lacking. I use it for stretching rings in my ring stretcher/reducer after annealing silver, gold and copper, and I have to say that even though the tape came recommended by someone I respect, I’m not impressed. I imagine this tape would work well as a shelf slider friction reducer like on a handcrafted Danish bureau but not for protecting a mandrel or the inner area of a ring that you’re resizing. Application is everything, so there’s my experience and my rating for the use case.

Most of the negative reviews are from people who clearly did not figure out how to use the tape. "No adhesion at all" for example is just dumb. Once you get the backing tape off (non-trivial undertaking, unfortunately) it has terrific adhesion and make drawers slide LOTS easier.I have one drawer in particular that is filled with heavy stuff (a 5" stack of product manuals and a TON of drill bit including a couple of 60-bit sets plus others). This drawer has been a real pain to open/close 'cause the weight in it causes the plywood-to-plywood movement a be very difficult. I put two strips of this tape on each side of the drawer bottom and each side of the base it rides on, and now the drawer is very easy to open/close.I recommend this product even though getting the backing tape off is sometimes likely to cause the invocation of several words you probably don't want your children to hear.

Saw this in a YouTube video for wooden drawers that don’t use ball bearing drawer slides.I was given an old hardware cabinet built by my late uncle entirely of wood.I used paste wax on the wear edges that drawers slide on as I have tools in then. This works much better than the wax.

I use this as a slider between to mating surface and it works great. A great and durable product!
