Yes it was expensive, but at almost 200$/cleaning from the "sweeps" this is a bargain! Plus my chimney gets cleaned MUCH more often, no appointments and when I think it needs it! My ONLY issue is I wish it was adaptable to other brushed on the market?

I did the math and buying one of these along with a couple different sized heads would pay itself off in 2 years. No more scheduling to have the chimney cleaned and waiting months for it to get done. Just give take care of it yourself with 15 minutes of your time. No waiting around for the chimney sweeps to show up late. Great purchase.

Purchased this based on the advice of the person who installed my wood stove and stove pipe (which has two 45-degree elbows). The installer claimed the Wohler would let me easily sweep the stove pipe from the bottom up and be flexible enough to get through the elbows. He was right. The product is constructed well. The reel features a locking mechanism. The brush attachment had to be purchased separately. The system is light-weight. I wish the legs on the reel were slightly longer. Due to a knee problem I needed to sit on the leg rather than step on it to keep it from moving around as I unspooled the fiberglass rod. However I won’t ding them a star for that.

i burn 24/7 and get about two months before i need to clean out the chimney, every season I am unable to get on the roof because of snow and my clean out cap is only 6' from the ground so I cant use rods, this is just what I needed and can now clean from the ground all season long

Amazon does not carry the brushes individually. Only an expensive set of 6 mixed sizes. I still haven't managed to get the brush I need from the manufacturer.
