I was hesitant to buy this based on the mixed reviews, but I’m SOOOO glad I did! It’s truly one of my top 10 baby purchases. I’m floored that anyone thinks this is a carrier. It is NOT a carrier, it’s a fleece jacket you wear over your preferred carrier. I love that it allows me and baby to share body heat and that I don’t always have to put him in his own separate jacket before he goes in the carrier (depending on the weather). I can put this on with or without a light jacket over my arms and he and I both stay toasty. It has multiple ways to adjust it- elastic at the bottom (which most other jackets like this don’t have), elastic at the back of baby’s neck to keep the fleece close to them, side zippers for extra room, a button at the collar so your chest isn’t exposed. It can also be turned around and worn for back carrying as it has a zipper down the middle for when you flip it (just take the baby panel out and zip it into the back zipper). It’s honestly made with so much thought... I’m truly so impressed by it! This is a baby-wearing must! I bought a size down because the size I thought I’d need was out of stock and it fits perfectly. It’s a bit snug on my tatas without the front panel in place- another thoughtful design so moms can wear this without baby wearing- but I’m nursing so I don’t think that’ll always be the case. It was also super easy to machine wash. Don’t keep looking, buy this thing!

I ordered this to use with my daughter for our winter walks. This is not a kangaroo pouch type carrier, It is a vest that fits over a baby in a carrier. I personally use this with my ergo, and it fits over with a ton of room to spare. I ordered a size medium, which has enough room to easily fit a child in a front carrier, and a child in a back carrier! This even has enough room to fit a toddler. I probably could have sized down. I am around 145lb, and 5'4" for reference. The material is a nice thick fleece. It is very soft, and perfect for baby's skin. This is honestly perfect for keeping baby warm. My only suggestion would be, to size down, if you don't want something that is a bit more bulky.

Update the zipper will break!!! I bought it twice and both times the zipper broke. Perfect for baby wearing! Can be used without the baby part once you are done with that phase. True to size! Do not size up

I love my winter coat, but I baby wear a lot. This has been great to keep baby warm without having to buy a whole new coat. Easy to wear with or without a coat over and keeps baby nice and warm.

This sweater is not a kangaroo. I've seen tops that are, so it really sounded like it was one too. The insert is just a big piece of fabric to cover your baby as you wear him or her in a separate kangaroo. You wear your baby in a carrier, then put this sweater on top of both of you, and the insert will help form fit to your baby. It has a little neck with a snap that I guess could go around baby's neck to hold the top of the insert up when it is colder. I ordered a large and it is very big. I suppose to make room for baby, but even without the insert it is too big. So order a size down unless you need the space. It is a thick fuzzy fleece. I'd say it's a cream bandaid color. It also has a zipper in the back, in case you wear your kangaroo on your back. Just zip the baby insert in the back. The zipper in the back stops once it reaches your collar. Has side pockets in the front for mom's hands

This is a very quality product- it’s warm, it’s thick, the zips are VERY nice, the fleece is soft- and— theoretically it does what it says it can do. I couldn’t exactly figure out how to use it and it came with zero instructions. I tried to figure it out from reading other reviews and looking online, and despite having three degrees, I’m still not entirely sure how to use it.That said- I do carry my baby a lot baby carrier- and this will fit OVER it- although I’m pretty sure that it’s meant to actually carry the baby itself, I just don’t know how because it came with zero instructions and it’s not obvious to me. So yes- other people seem to know how to make it work and I’m dying for this to be me, but on the plus side there is a lot of flexibility with this so it works OVER another carrier if you don’t know how it make it work as a stand alone.I deducted one start because- WHY ARE THERE NO INSTRUCTIONS? It isn’t obvious to me. I tried it. Maybe my baby is too big or I’m just really stupid, but I couldn’t figure out how it was supposed to work as a standalone carrier even though I LOVE the idea of it.4/5 because the quality is nice, it is warm, it is thick, the construction is really nice (great zippers, everything is sewn together well)- it’s a nice garment. How do you keep your baby from falling out of it? I don’t know.

I really like this vest for a few reasons, it’s comfortable, it’s warm and it’s stylish. It can easily be converted into a vest for me and baby or just me when I’m not carrying baby around. I like the fleece material, it’s not to thick but does the job. Even for a small it’s pretty covering. I could wear a sweatshirt underneath and it’s just as good as a winter jacket. I really like the adjustable cord for baby’s head so they can be snug and cold air won’t get in around their ears/head. Overall a great gift idea for moms with babies in the Winter months. Glad I have it!
