These really do make it comfortable to ride in just about any pants or shorts. Well, as comfortable as you'd be in most bike shorts. They run true to size (I ordered an XL, which is what I'd expect to order) and are comfortable for distances. They're also easy care -- wash them on the gentle cycle and hang them to dry. The spinning at the end of the wash cycle pretty much dries out the shorts part, but the crotch padding takes a little longer. Very convenient, though.

I bought these to wear to spinning classes at my gym because as a new cyclist, the tiny hard seat was causing some major pain! I do like these shorts, but I believe I will be buying a different pair. I do not like the elastic bands along the inside bottom of each leg, I guess it is to keep them from riding up as you cycle but it is slightly uncomfortable. Also these shorts are really thin, they do provide coverage for your underwear but I wouldn't wear them alone. I like the fabric and the gel cushion keeps you cool and provides some padding. I do wish the cushion was slightly longer to provide more cushion for the "front" side parts (ladies, you know what I mean). The shorts definitely run large, I am a size 18 and the XL is almost too big. However I would be scared about how uncomfortable the leg band elastics would be on a smaller size (especially if you carry your weight in your legs).

I purchased these shorts after scouring the internet looking for affordable biking shorts for a larger figure. These shorts did not dissapoint! Although the padding felt insignificant to me upon its arrival, the shorts have kept me comfortable on several medium length rides (3+hours). The sizing is a bit deceptive. The XL was more than large enough for me, so listen to other reviews and order a size or two smaller than normal and you still will not have to worry about the shorts being too tight. The shorts have washed up really well as well. All in all a great product for a reasonable price.

The legs, especially where the bottom band is, is simply not sized right (too tight) and the material they use to create this non-slip section is very uncomfortable as well. I see this has been a fairly common complaint with these cycling briefs and I concur. I tried 2 different sizes and had zero success, so both are going back. I wanted these to work for me so I could wear them under some existing shorts for cycling. Nope. Unless your legs are very skinny you likely will not find these comfortable. Canari needs to study the materials used in other cycling shorts and find a way to re-engineer these to fit better and be looser and softer at the band on the legs. #fail

I am 5'3", with a 40" waist and 47" hips.I ordered the XL size. These briefs fit me perfectly. The gel pad feels much less like a diaper than the chamois pad in my other pair of cycling shorts. It isn't as heavy, either. The pad seems to be just big enough to cushion my "sit bones" that need it.The fabric seems very light and breathable, without being so thin that I couldn't wear these just by themselves, rather than under other pants. The waistband, in particular, is very soft and comfy, unlike my other cycling shorts.

These did not have nearly enough padding. They also did not fit properly at all. I would not suggest these.

These shorts fit great and feel great too. The padded part isn't as big as some shorts I've tried but its where it needs to be. The shorts aren't at tight as other either. I got the same size as always. I actually like that they aren't as tight as most bike shorts. Over all these bike shorts are great.

The pad is set very far back in the shorts, making it OK for multi-track or cruiser rides, but I imagine it would be pretty much useless for a road bike. As everyone has said the shorts run big, but what's really odd is that they're big in the thighs AND the waist. I find that most people fall into two major categories -- small waist and bigger thighs or larger waist, flat butt and skinny legs. Sadly, I'm the poster child for the latter category and even I found these shorts big in the waist! I gave them a decent rating because of the low price, but they could be a really great deal for casual cycling if they'd tweak the sizing and make the pad a little longer.
