I used this on a walnut and Hickory candlestick. First I turned a 2.5-in journal on the end of my workpiece with a live Center. Then I remove the live Center installed the chuck and clamped it down tight on the journal and it worked like a charm. Excellent value for the money and you can tell this product is well engineered and I look forward to using it for years and years

I have only used this a few times at the time of this review.The quality of the different jaws seem to be high quality and the chuck itself is machined very well.The gear mechanisms to adjust the jaws is Clunky for lack of a better word not smooth. not necessarily bad just not smooth like my Nova Chucks. all and all seems very good for the money.

This unit was assembled WITHOUT ANY LUBRICATION in the internal ring gears or pinion gears and it gauled the locator pin. For the cost of this to have this failure is totsally unacceptable.

Purchased this kit to pair with recent Wen bench top lathe. Item came in well constructed and organized storage case. Chuck is rock solid, smooth to adjustt. Adapters for various applications are easy to install, fit squarely and precision machined so any give or wobble is totally non-existent. Really price to value purchase and highly recommended.

I purchased this chuck to augment the one that I already had. With the changeable jaws it allows me to work with more different sizes of turnings than my original chuck. Changing the jaws is quick and easy with the tool provided. I find myself using this chuck more often and I'm very happy with it. It's built rugged enough to handle all my turnings so far.
