Product is as advertised. I used half round file to smooth out some jagged edges that were roughed up when turning. I was pleasantly surprised by how efficiently the rasp removed the jagged bits with ease greatly improving the look of the piece.

They do the job, primarily for rapid wood removal. At the price I'll give four stars for product and service.

I use a file to make grooves in wooden pieces that I turn. These are much better as they remove more wood faster. They are ROUGH, maybe a little too rough for some purposes. They seem very well made and are worth the price.

This is a three pack of rasps at an affordable price. They have a comfortable handle - a delight compared to the bare metal rasps I've been using in my workshop - and a very aggressive set of teeth designed to take off a lot of material in a short period of time. The teeth are sharp and deep enough that I expect these rasps to be a consumable item; they don't seem to be made from as strong of a material as the vintage tools I'm used to using, but they're great for everyday workshop cleanup at the current price point. As others have noted, the packaging here is really subpar. These come packed on a messy blister card that's soaked through with the oil from the rasps, and wouldn't really be suitable for gifting if image was a concern. Fortunately, I was just able to discard the card since that wasn't my goal, although I still had to find a storage location for the rasps where they wouldn't coat other tools with oil.

Overall, these are nice rasps. I do have a few specific thoughts:The packaging of these rasps is pretty shabby looking. As you can see from the attached picture, the tools were still quite wet with oil when they went into the packaging and it soaked into the cardboard. The rasps themselves function very well. I immediately grabbed the hardest piece of hardwood that I could get my hands on (a small piece of very old flooring) and gave them a thorough test. They handled the task with ease (as you can see in the second attached picture) and I have no doubt that they will perform similarly (and even better) on other types of wood. This set of rasps is also priced fairly competitively. There are others that are virtually identical, but I do not think that I have seen any that are made this well and also priced this low ($16.99 at the time of this review).Overall, this is a pretty decent set of rasps and I plan to use it on many projects!

I have mixed feelings about this rasp set. I used the half-round rasp to do some shaping on a piece of wood whose species I don’t know. I don’t think it was pine or oak but other than that, I don’t know what it is. After at most ½ hour of using the rasp, it was noticeably less sharp than when I started. Out of the box, these are pretty aggressive, but as noted, it doesn’t take long to dull them. On the plus side, the handle is comfortable and stayed on while I was working. Given the speed with which this rasp got dull, I’m concerned about how long these will stay useful. Right now, even with the dull spot, the rasp still cuts OK but time will tell if that remains to be the case.

This rasp is well-crafted with a comfortable handle, suitable for rough use. While I would prefer the teeth to be closer together, it is quite effective for rapid wood removal. The handle feels both comfortable and durable. I am eager to use it in my upcoming woodworking projects.

These rasps will work, but I'm not impressed with the quality. My photo compares the half round rasp (top) with one I've had for 40 years (bottom). My old rasp has 28% more teeth that are more uniformly spaced and formed with superior cutting edges. The handles on these rasps are okay.

These are the WOTAHI wood rasps, a set of 3. These rasps are well-made; the handles are made of hard yellow plastic and black, more rubbery plastic, making them comfortable to grip. They arrived oil-coated, I’m assuming to ensure they didn’t rust during transit. The handles have holes in them for hanging onto a pegboard. I tested them on a piece of soft wood, and they ate through it pretty fast. The photo shows what they did with 10 strokes each. These are decent rasps for a reasonable price.

I really like these rasps, especially for the price range they are in. You can find other brands of similar quality in this range, but these compare just as well. The handles are comfortable. But the packaging needs work. The oil soaked through the cardboard, making it weak and soggy. Mine arrived separated from the plastic. Not the end of the world, but a minor annoyance. Could be an issue if packed with something affected by it.
