Do not be fooled by the videos of this turning logs into kindling. I have a very large corded rotary hammer drill and it would not even split a 4in diameter log. These are junk. They might split something that has been dried for years and previously split. But I highly doubt it.

the product works fine but I ordered a bit too large for my needs, and sometimes grabs the wood and spins it. otherwise, good product.

The bit just wedged into the wood and stuck in there. I had to use a pipe wrench to remove it. I wouldn't recommend this product.

Stalls out every drill motor I Use. If I went to a huge drill Motor then the torque was so massive that I couldn’t hold on to the wood or the drill, false advertisement

It is what it is. Don’t expect much but it will split dry wood. Watch your wrist when it locks up.

I had the opportunity to use this item this weekend, it came in alittle bag no instructions or anything, how to best use it. I have discovered it works best on very dry wood, otherwise your drilling holes all alongside the wood to get it to crack. dont go to deep otherwise it gets stuck in the wood and when you try to back out of it, it comes unscrewed for the attachment and you'll have to wiggle it out
