I play guitar in many venues that allow tipping to performers, but have restrictions about what container is used. Nothing looks worse than an old jar, a beat up box or some other improvised receptacle to drop the cash in. It reflects badly on the establishment and the performer.The AFOROEOA wood suggestion box is a great solution to this requirement. It's rustic looking, but in a refined way. Quality appears to be good, with aligned joins, even wood color staining and a lock that worked without problems. Capacity is ample, and it has a stable footing when placed on a reasonably flat surface.I did not use it for a suggestion box, but the chalkboard placard worked well to indicate what is was for, although it would be hard to miss the visual invitation.The lock--and for that matter, the anchor screws--are not going to defeat someone who wants to break it open or pull it off a mounted surface, but you aren't buying a Diebold safe, are you? It provides passable security in low-risk environments, and does it with panache.Nice product that provides an attractive solution to a practice that can be considered tawdry, if you aren't paying attention to how you appear to customers.

This is a nice looking box so I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 but the lid broke as soon as it was taken out of the box and opened so it never got a chance to be used. The lid broke in the middle, not at the hinges.

A lot of gap when the box is locked. Anyone can put something inside to wedge it loose.
