I got this for my 5yr old grandson, he loves all things numbers. This is really great because using the beads, cards, numbers and chalk board together helps to create and reinforce the learning process. He thinks it's a game and doesn't realise he's actually learning multiplication, and division.

Good price (currently $16 with coupon).I really want to rate this higher but the white board arrived peeling..? I tried to find instructions to see if I am supposed to peel it off but there's nothing saying that. So I assume it's just peeling which is very disappointing.The size is quite small but still very usable.I ordered this specifically for the abacus and I am very happy with that part of this unit. I will use it to help my kindergartner learn math.I also like the magnetic numbers that come with this. 0-100 with odd numbers in red and even numbers in blue.

The abacus is a good size to use for elementary school. It comes with a lot of numbered magnets that can get easily lost and in my opinion are not necessary if you utilize the white board. The abacus can easily be folded for storage, making it pretty compact to put away. Overall a good value to help your kiddo learn math!

This abacus is so helpful in teaching my young grandson to count by 10’s and 5’s. The abacus is an easy way to visualize amounts, add or subtract them, and quickly “reset†back to start again. Because the beads are in groups of 10 on the abacus, it is great for teaching counting by 10’s or 5’s. Simply slide the beads over to add the amount. The small chalk board on the top provides a handy spot to quickly write problems to be solved. The abacus has a sturdy wooden frame and is good quality. I love the stand on the abacus holding it upright. It is easy to fold flat for storage when not in use.

This is a nice set for young children to learn math with. It is easy to set up, with a string to allow the board to stand in either direction. The chalkboard/ whiteboard is a good size, lots of room for writing on or sticking the magnets onto.The magnetic pieces have large clear graphics on them. While the magnetic backing is not that strong, it was enough to stick with no issues.It would have been ideal if the set came with something to store the chalk, pens and magnetic pieces. I guess they can be dumped back into the box, but it's just not going to happen especially with young children. As is, they are just going to get lost.The set comes with one whiteboard pen, with an eraser cap. It would have been nice to have a place to keep the pen with the board. Either a clip or even a rope to keep them together would have been enough. The same applies to the box of chalk and its eraser.The wood used to make the set is good quality. It has a smooth surface that is well finished. The beads are painted in bright colours and move along the rail easily.Overall this is a nice item to have for young children. My nephews are enjoying it so far.I like that it has both a chalkboard and whiteboard. It folds up flat, and is very compact and easy to store away.Storage of the pieces are an issue, but could be fixed easily by using a ziploc bag. Five stars.

This abacus is so cool. Because it is wooden it will last a long time.It is durable and well made and worth the money to teach your kids how to use an abacus.Very neat tool and something pretty for a play room!
