Colorful Needle Felting Set
A 36 gauge felting needle has a thicker shank, making it easier to shape your wool felt and speeding up your work process.
The 38 gauge needle has more felting needles and is used with the felt needle handle, making needle felting more convenient.
There are three different types of felting needles, there are 10 felting needles in size 40, and the smaller size needle felting are easier to handle the details of wool felt.
First place the felting needle as shown in the picture.
In the second step you need to insert the poker needle into the groove in the wood.
The third step is to insert the wood groove into the wooden handle as shown in the figure.
A complete needle felting installation is complete.
Our felting needles are made of metal iron, which is strong and not easy to break, and it will be more effective when used with foam mats.

I love these. If you have a friend or relative that roots doll hair or does felting, this is a thoughtful gift. I micro root my reborn dolls. Its difficult to find the correct guage to give the doll a realistic look. These are beautiful. They really look so nice and clean next to the ones I usually get that have machine oil needing to be removed. I believe these are stainless.Also, the little finger guards seem to be an issue, some say they are too big - others say its not big enough. Sounds like a complaint department from a brothel. Obviously they cant make individual sizes. What I do is put them on then soak in warm water for a few minutes. Leave them on until they dry. They will conform to your finger. Both in felting and reborning, having them a little damp while you are working shouldn't be an issue. Mine would get wet anyhow and that is how I discovered a way to get them to fit perfect (they also stink ALOT)The needle packages are color coded as well. I am using them now and ordering more.When I send my adoptive moms their new reborn, I include a 'first aid' package. In it is a few viles of the correct color paint, and about 3 grams of mohair along with rooting needles. (They usually never need the paint, but the mohair is another thing altogether. If it isn't kept moisturized it can get brittle) Adding some of these will be delightful.Thanks so much!

There definitely are pros and cons with this setCon1: no directions in package on how to insert needle. Could definitely be a problem for beginner needle filters. That being said there are written instructions on the product listing on the website if you scroll down far enough.Con 2: no instruction in the package on the color coding for the needles. That however is also listed on the product listing on the website.Con 3: the needles in the holders right off the bat do not have any color on them at all. So which size are they??Con 4: the finger protectors are extremely small and don' fit and I have very small hands. Plus they have a horrible smell.Pro 1: you get 30 color coded needles and 8 non coded needles (I have not tried for durability).Pro 2: includes 8 needle holders 6 of which correspond to the 6 different color coded needles. 2 came with dents in them but it doesn't affect its usability.Pro 3: ease of changing needles. Just pull end out, insert bend of needle on to smaller end with needle running down grove and insert larger end into opening.Pro 4: easy to holdPro 5: comes in a little plastic caseTip: 1 I wrote on a little piece of paper which size needles corresponded to what color ends and taped that inside the lid of the box.36 gauge blue + copper/orange38 gauge green + purple40 gauge red + yellowTip 2 I wrote on holder what size needle is in holder.Hope that helps

I like the needles they are decent quality but the handles need to be a little bigger to make them more comfortable for longer period of time.

This product has a good selection of colored handles and needle points. I tend to have several needles in handles for two reasons: one, I can have different sizes in different colors. I also write on the handle the size of the needle I'm using and replace with the same size needle; two, if a point breaks, I can go on working with another needle of the same size.I would definitely recommend this produce for felters. These are great needles for creating your tight core. I use the finer needles to lay on the color.
