The Wooden Shapes Puzzles for Toddlers are fantastic educational toys for young children. I purchased this for my 1-year-old, and it’s been a great learning tool! The bright, colorful shapes are easy for little hands to grasp, and the puzzle encourages shape and color matching. The wooden pieces are durable and well-made, ensuring safety for toddlers. This puzzle helps develop important skills such as hand-eye coordination, problem-solving, and fine motor skills. It’s also a perfect Montessori-style toy that keeps toddlers engaged and entertained while learning.Great for 1 to 3-year-olds, and I highly recommend it as a birthday gift or just as a fun, educational toy. A wonderful choice for parents looking for quality, engaging learning toys!

This is a great puzzle to introduce shapes to little ones. Not only shapes but also colors. Great for fine motor skills!

The game idea is known. Plenty of similar puzzles. The idea of using shapes makes sense but there are problems with this puzzle:1. The holes are made to exactly match the shape. That means that the only way the shape can be inserted is that not only it has to match the hole and its orientation, but it also has to be put exactly in parallel with the board. If it is put in an angle than one side will go in but the other will hit the edge and not be able to enter the hole. This is extremely frustrating. What I had to do is use an oscillating tool to sand all the holes and make them a tad bigger so that the shapes will fit in easily.2. This is a minor gripe - but if the idea is for the toddler to learn shapes and visually match shapes, then I find the fact that the holes are color coded to the shapes, to be defeating the purpose. I want the toddler to learn shape- matching and not color-matching.

This toy is very age appropriate and helps baby develop critical thinking and motor development skills. The colors are bright and cheery. However, the fonts are a little weird and different between the shapes, and the build quality leaves a bit to be desired. For instance, the pieces could afford to be a bit bigger. My baby does play with this, but this isn't something I would gift per se.
