These 36-Inch extension bars replace the standard length side rails on the D2058A Shop Fox Adjustable Mobile Base - Large. This allows the base to be assembled with a minimum capacity of 18-Inch by 34-Inch to a maximum capacity of 28-Inch by 44-Inch, suitable for heavier and longer machines such as lathes. Sold as set of 2.

Bought a Jet 2550 drum sander with the wheeled cabinet base. The wheels on the cabinet base are not on a swivel so I removed them and placed the drum sander on a Shopfox mobile base. Needed these 36in bars to expand the mobile base to the required length. Now I can wheel the drum sander around as needed.

The picture shows holes in the bars. I was using these longer bars with a Shop Fox base that I already had and just needed the longer pieces on the sides for a new tool. The holes would have been nice, but I went ahead and used bolts to through-bolt them together.

After looking at the "enlarged image" for this product, I purchased it. The bars do not have threaded holes for fastening it to the mobile base, though the image clearly shows this. Hope woodstock and amazon have taken the time to correct this error in advertising.

I purchased this bars to work with the D2058A (not D2058, which uses a different extension bar set) mobile base kit and found them to fit well. However, I had to cut them down to size in order to get a tight fit into the base, as I did not need a full 36" of length.My biggest complaint is the price of this extension kit. The MSRP is 39% of the price for the actual mobile base kit, which includes significantly more steel and a set of four casters.The two bar extension kit is constructed out of painted tubular steel.
