This hammer belong in the toolboxes of woodworkers and machinists alike. Unlike rubber mallets, dead-blow hammer won't bounce off your work. Sealed lead shot in the hammer's head delivers all the kinetic force to the contact point - exactly where it should be.

Great little hammer for light duty work when you don’t need to use a larger much heavier hammer. Decent quality. Good value. Recommended.

The hammer I received has an 8oz factory sticker on it, but the hammer displays 1-1/2 lb. which would be 24 oz. I'm not sure if that is a manufacturer error or Amazon. It will work for what I need so I have decided not to return it.

Perfect weight and size for working most crowns and highs. Still looks new after years of use.Not sure how dead blow are weighed because most 8 oz hammers are very small and suited for delicate work like jewelry making.Weighs 11.84 oz or .74 lbs or 335 gramsLength 10.5â€Width 3 5/32†or 70mmHead diameter 1.20†or 1 13/16 or 30.5mmFace has rounded edge to avoid creating dents if using without a knock down(rare). Diameter that will contact panel 25mm.Easy to lose, so fluorescent tape helps in a dark truck or on pavement. This is very close or maybe exactly what Rightlook used in training and sold in the early 2000’s.
