High Quality Vermiculite Material Fire Bricks

Our products are high quality Vermiculite Material Fire Bricks, not ordinary clay fire bricks. It has better thermal insulation and allows more heat to be stored in the stoves or fireplaces firebox, then the heat can warm the whole room through the stove front door and top. Better insulation effect can ensure higher temperature in the combustion chamber, so firewood can burn more completely and release more heat.

  • There are several different models for you to choose:

I needed something new to bake my sourdough on. These blocks are wonderful, they hold heat well, they are thin 3/4" and they are very light!! Vermiculite is supposed to be food safe (please do your own research and make educated decisions) so I have no issue with baking my bread on them. They are very easy to cut. I will actually be buying more so I can use in both ovens.

The Bricks were very sturdy and cut easily. I didn't have to replace ALL the bricks.. so it was great to take a hack saw, make pencil marks to note where the cuts go, and then slide them into place.

When I first got the box, I was surprised on how light it was. The bricks are much lighter that other bricks I own, and are strangely, smoother? I did a little research and it appears these are vermiculite fire bricks. From what I have read, vermiculite bricks are lighter, cheaper, and may perform slightly better as insulation than regular clay ones. The trade off is that they are not as durable and may need more frequent replacing.I used a propane torch and hit one area of the brick for 2 minutes. The localized area got slightly red, but it didn't spread far and didn't show up on the backside. When it cooled down, there was no evidence of significant damage. The area changed color, a little more white. Also the surface was raised slightly. Not as smooth as before. With that in mind, I am not going to use these directly in my forge. I'll probably use it to protect my work surface instead.

Not what I expected. The material was more like a fireproof particle board than a "brick". Got brittle and cracked after one use.

I picked up this insulating fire brick to build an enclosure for hard drives, aiming to protect them in the unlikely and unfortunate event of a house fire. While I haven’t paired it with high-temperature grout yet, I’ve temporarily repurposed it to build a small furnace for melting gold.Although I haven’t achieved the temperatures needed to melt gold due to limitations with my current gas setup, I’m impressed with how well these bricks insulate against high temperatures. They maintain structural integrity under extreme heat and do a fantastic job of retaining and reflecting heat inside the furnace. This is an excellent product for anyone needing reliable insulation for high-temperature applications, whether for DIY projects or protective enclosures.

Maybe it's me but i was experting something with a bit more mass to them. They seem like they are vermiculite. Good quality tho. Worth the price.
