The red is great and it's a great little upgrade to make a kit stand out a little more than normal. Functionally there's isn't an issue at all. They just look great!

I’m assuming almost all cymbal arms have the same circumference piece that goes through the cymbal hole, these do not fit on any of the various brands of stands that I have - Tama, Gretsch, Mapex, DW, and Yamaha.
