We definitely know what we're doing when it comes to quilter needs. At ½ an inch thick, our wool pressing mat keeps a stiff board-like shape while still being lightweight, flexible and portable.
Our Package includes a large 22x60 wool pressing mat. Wool ironing mats are specifically designed to allow heat to flow through, in turn pressing your quilting blocks as if you have ironed both sides. With the texture of the surface, all blocks, and seams are pressed perfectly straight with a seriously crisp finish. Because this ironing mat is made from thick felted wool, it accommodates placement pins beautifully. Even without pins, your fabric will not shift on the woolen surface.

To begin with I love the packaging. The pad fits my board perfectly 22†wide. It was rolled and after I loosened the ties around it (there were two), it unrolled. It lay flat without any problems. It was ironing ready from the box. I am pleased that it is a perfect fit. It’s also so lightweight although it is wool. It is 1/2†thick and either side can be used. It is a great price for such a functional item.

This pad works really well on my sewing table. There’s no heat transfer to the surface below. It’s very thick and absorbs the steam & throws it back up to the item being ironed, which cuts ironing time in half. I bought the largest size (22 x 60) and highly recommend it

I had a smaller wool pressing mat but wanted the bigger size. I can press on this without an ironing board. Can set it on any flat surface. Easy to travel with and stores nicely. The wool concept heats the top and bottom of fabric. These are great. Does have a bit of a wet wool smell at first. This eventually disapates. As a quilter this is very convenient to use anywhere.

Wool mat was nice and thick with great cushioning power. I bought this to use as a substitute for an ironing board, and feel it will do a great job of protecting the table it will be used on, as well as providing that perfect press for my quilt pieces.

Great pressing pad. Great price. Good shipping. Wait for it ….it smells horrible while you press. I am airing it out and looking for essential oil or a way to cut the odor. It doesn’t stay with the quilt material. PU

Ya tenÃa una más pequeña pero ésta es del tamaño óptimo para trabajar sobre mi mesa. Es suficientemente grande pero no ocupa todo el espacio. Tiene 1.5 cms. de espesor, lo cual le da muy buena estructura. Definitivamente me gusta.

This mat may or may not be 100% wool as advertised but the heat from my iron is breaking down the mat composition and leaving a thick residue on the iron's stainless-steel plate. So now in order to use the mat, I have to use a cover of which I'm told if the mat was 100% wool a cover would not be necessary. I believe I was scammed.BJ
