This is an excellent cutting mat for leather work and crafts, here's why:First, the softness is perfect: So it allows your knife to cut into the mat slightly, preventing damage to your table or main work surface, but also preventing your knife from going completely through the mat and damaging or even cutting it in half. At the same time, the softness prevents unnecessary wear to your knife itself. Before this, believe it or not, I was actually using an old chair mat for a cutting mat, but my tools dulled very quick. This mat has made a huge difference in my work process.Also, it is a great thickness, with multiple layers. The topmost layer is quite soft, perfect for cutting on, while the inner layer is harder and provides a firmness to this mat. However, it is vital to use and store this mat flat; otherwise, it will develop a curve.By the way, to extend the life of these mats, I've read that it's best to keep them hydrated. So I put some water on mine monthly to keep the cutting surface and membrane soft and supple. I want this to last a long time.Third, the markings on the green side are super useful when laying out and cutting material. You can see the amount of wear and tear on the Green side - which I've used almost exclusively.This has been a great value for me. The only con - if you want to call it that - is that I wish it were a little bigger. Still, I would buy this again because the features and size work well for a small maker's space.

Great product! Needed a larger mat for my hobby desk and this is exactly what I wanted! It’s well made and double sided. I was concerned it would be flimsy at this size but not at all. Would buy again!

This mat is great for the small projects I've begun, and switch from using scissors to a rotary cutter. My more serious sewists use a heavier and larger mat. This is just the right size for dining room table or folding table. It arrived almost instantly and was well packaged.

Die Matte ist sehr robust und sehr schön groß. Ich schneide darauf Fondant mit einem Skalpell (rolle ich vorher darauf auch aus) und sie hält. Bis jetzt noch kein Ritzer drin. Sehr gut, ich bin begeistert!

Il tappeto è arrivato nei tempi previsti, ma la scatola era molto danneggiata anche perché all'interno mancava l'imbottitura che attudiva i colpi dovuti agli spostamenti durante il trasporto....Premetto che questo è il secondo tappeto che compro , con il primo di un'altra marca non ho avuto questo problema...X fortuna il tappeto ne è uscito abbastanza illeso....È molto bello ben fatto e sembra anche di buona qualità _Lo consiglio con raccomandazione al fornitore x il pacco....
