It was very useful for my small backyard rose plants , may be not useful for bigger and thicker branches but works good for small plants and soft branches.

Decent quality and good to probably a 1/2'' or 3/4'' branch. Not the highest quality materials, but it was a great price and this has been very useful.

I do a lot of gardening. We have a good size piece of property & I just love digging in the dirt. All that requires maintenance and good tools. I have some lopers from WorkPro and they've proven to be excellent & have performed well all through the Spring & Summer. I was excited to be able to try out their Hedge Trimmers. Also, the extendable handles sounded like a fantastic feature.As with their other tool, these Hedge Trimmers came ready to use right out of the box. The cushioned handles are great, very comfortable & I especially like the shock absorbing bumper. My old pair didn't have that and you don't realize what a difference it makes until you start trimming the border/privacy hedge that goes all along the street side of the backyard. This has to be done about 3 times a year, in the growing season. With my old trimmers, I'd have to work on it in sections because my arms would need a rest. The bumper is what makes the difference. It makes it so much easier. I like everything about these and included in the box is a copy of their warranty, which is nice.The only thing I would change, on all hedge trimmers or lopers, would be to have some way to lock the handles together when you're not using them. I do hate the way they splay about when being carried along with other garden tools. Other than that, very satisfied.

These bad boys do cut thin branches and right through hedges and vines, but man they are heavy and clompy. The blades are not the sharpest, really. And after clipping the junipers and jasmine vines, the beauty berry bush, and cleaning up the low hanging cedar, the clipper blades were visibly beaten up. I took my old pair of name brand hedge shears to compare along side of these Workpros, and the slightly smaller, lighter pair (brand name pair) really cut through easier, quicker, more reliably. I would say that in a pinch the Workpro garden shears and clippers are just okay. But I wouldn't go out of my way to add them to my arsenal of garden tools.

I had not previously used the WORKPRO line of tools. No need to worry though - this is an impressive garden tool. It is really well made. All the components feel solid and well machined. Out of the box it is sharp and ready to go. It made short work of my ornamental grasses, a challenging task for shears.On some straight edge shears, whatever you’r cutting tends to squeeze away from you as you work the shears. I found the wavy edge of this blade to be helpful in “holding†grass/stems/plants for a better cutting action.The extendable handles operate smoothly yet lock in place easily. Nothing is more frustrating than a cheap tool that doesn’t operate well. These shears are on the other end of the spectrum; when you’re finished you start looking around for more to cut. They are a very satisfying tool. When I loan these out I’ll be watching carefully to make sure they come home. Highly recommended. ðŸ‘ðŸ¼ðŸ‘ðŸ¼ðŸ‘ðŸ¼

They are a great set of shears if you know how and will take the time to sharpen them. Sadly, for the less experienced sharpener, the distributor doesn't include specific instructions for sharpening, though they do identify maintenance needs.There's a lot of thoughtful design and features built into this tool--in my case, the adjustable handle version, which I recommend. The handles have a soft, lightly contoured surface that make for a secure grip that remains comfortable over extended use (well, at least the couple of hours of use I have put these to). Though somewhat soft, I expect these handles will hold up over time. The tool handle shafts are oval shaped, which help make the adjustable model secure at any reasonable length or pressure. I find them really handy as I can use the tool with the handles "chocked up" for closeup work but then extend the handles to get to the back of wider hedges. The snap locks are easy to use and definite in operation.The blades are nice and long, and the convoluted inner edge is useful for thicker pieces. They feel fairly sharp, but they will perform a lot better is sharped on a fine "stone." It is not hard to sharpen them before first use, and like every good cutting tool, will benefit from frequent honing. It took me less than 15 minutes to get them like I want them--it will be less for future maintenance.A good pair of sheers at a good price. I would purchase again if I had the need.
