Compact in the sense of the traditional heat guns. But definitely not small. Very good heat & a good speed. It's easy to handle, even for me.

I used this heat gun to aid my watercolor drying process. When using it for about the fourth time, I heard a click noise and saw and smelled smoke emitting from the gun. I contacted the manufacturer Workpro twice regarding the problem. They wanted me to send them a video of the gun in use. I responded that I did not want to plug it in and use it again due to the potential fire hazard. I have not heard back from the company. I am very, very disappointed in Workpro’s customer service of this defective heat gun.

Okay, so I finally got my hands on this heat gun and I gotta say, I'm impressed! It feels really solid in my hand, not some cheap flimsy thing. The rubber grip makes it super comfy to use, even when it starts to heat up.Let me tell you, the high heat setting on this thing is no joke! Perfect for serious projects, but I've been mostly using the low setting for crafts and DIY stuff. It's great for all those heat-shrink jobs or sticker removal from glass/ceramic/metal utensils. I primarily bought this to loosen red loctite but the one time I tried, it didn't seem to be powerful enough to do that or I am not skilled enough.I like that it has a kickstand so I can set it down safely between uses without having to wait for it to cool completely. Plus, the cord is nice and long, so I don't feel tied down to one spot.Overall, I'm super happy with this purchase. It feels like it'll last me ages and it's made a bunch of my projects way easier!

Used only on heatshrink for wiring and rope ends. Much better then a regular sized heat gun and also allows access to constricted areas. At first the deflector was falling of the outlet tube. Solved by squeezing the inlet of the deflector so it fit inside the outlet tube.
