This is a variation of the strapping machines that I have used in the past. The main difference with this one is the buckle system. The tensioner seems to be made of decent quality material and functions similarly to the way other machines that I have used. The tool is fairly easy to use as I am already familiar with this kind of tool. The fiber band is strong and takes tension well without breaking. The buckles are another story. Trying to get the buckle to stay tight was a challenge that I ended up giving up on after several attempts. I ended up using the banding crimps that I had on hand and all was good. The other down side to the buckles is that they stick up and are likely to get caught if they are used on boxes that have to be stacked. This is worth the price for the tool and the banding but I would recommend using the banding crimps over the buckles.

I have wanted to acquire an industrial bander for quite some time to bundle molding, pallets of wood and small machinery onto pallets. This was the perfect kit to give it a try. It comes with everything you need to start banding. The spool isn't very long - just over 300', but it will give you enough for several projects. There are 100 steel buckles which is a nice amount. The instructions are poor, but the images showing the steps in the ad are easy to follow. The 3/4" wide webbing is overkill for boxes, and you can find 1/2" webbing for cheaper if you need bulk. I like the tool and it works well.

The strapping is great but the banding ratchet cutter blade is dull wouldn’t cut the strapping

I ordered this to be able to band together some green wood so that it dries properly but with a lot of pressure on it so that it does not warp. I have never used a strapping kit of any kind, so the fact that I was able to figure this out and work it means it isn't too hard. The instructions are basically worthless and I had to watch the video twice and the strapping insertion part in slow motion to figure it out. Once I did that it was easy to work the tool and get it to tighten up quickly and easily without any hard ratcheting. The blade on the cutter does work somewhat, but the strapping has to be all the way inside the metal bracket on the front or it only cuts 95% of it. Either way I just have a box blade on hand just in case.Overall, I am glad that I ordered this. The metal tool is solid and so are the buckles. The strapping is strong and does not tear at all and you have to cut it which lets you put a lot of pressure on whatever you want to hold together (including wood boards).

Instructions were for a complety different banding tool that uses a crimp buckle. Even then, the translation created whimsical nonsense. Have to find the instructions elsewhere before I can completely tested.

This strapping machine is ok. I like that it comes with banding and fasteners. The instructions were useless.
