This is a nice set. However, the coat does not leave much room for layering. I was hoping to fit a life vest underneath for winter (Alaska) but then the coat won't zip. I understand a life vest is bulkier than most would layer under a winter coat; but it seems to be a slimmer fitting coat regardless, and my child is tall and skinny.

I ordered this for my very tall 4 1/2 year granddaughter. I was worried about them being pants with suspenders instead of bib overalls, but the snow cuff at the waist of the jacket as well as the hem of the legs and wrist will keep out the wet and snow as well as the cold. I could not be more pleased with my purchase! Her favorite colors are purple and fuchsia, so the jacket caught my eye right away. Lots of girls snowsuits come with light colored pants that are impossible to keep clean. I love that these are black. With her pink snow boots and pink gloves, I don’t think we’ll have any trouble picking her out in a crowd!

My daughter loves this set. She loves how the straps can come off the pants too. She has yet to complain once about getting cold or wet. Her other set her butt and knees would always be wet after an hour playing outside. The other day she was outside for 4 hours and was dry and toasty warm when we came back inside.

It is a cheaply made winter jacket but all in all, the pants and the jacket are warm. My daughter likes them. But BEWARE, the jacket's main zipper broke on the first day! Too cheaply made! Had to replace it with another one.
