It's not as stable as I would have liked, but I think that's because of the purpose to which I've put the thing. If you're holding up a significant weight, that weight will help keep it stable. I'm holding up part of a ventilation apparatus; it's not very heavy so there's no downwards pressure keeping the support in place. But it does its job fine for the most part anyway.

This Friday was great would recommend have used have one and supports feelings real well pair I bought from harbor freight real cheesy do not like handles they the ends fall off really easily would not recommend for heavy duty use

I have had this installed continuously for over a month testing it, it’s secure and my magnetic clamps for my laser level work great with it, no slippage.Wish I had bought it sooner, this would have helped with several projects even just using it as a ceiling clamp.

Very happy with these poles. I had held off on buying the ones from the big box stores for quite a while before choosing these. The quality appears to be just as good as its competitors, and at a great price! Now that I have them i use them all the time! One negative would be that there appears to be an oily substance on the rubber pads which left some residue on a white ceiling. A simple clean rag in between it and any finished surfaces would be recommended.
