I ordered more than a dozen of these all brass Y-valve connectors for use with a set of about 10 to 12 repurposed olive barrels that we will use as rain barrels for our organic garden. These will work very well and are heavy duty.I installed the Y-valve and it works perfectly as a temporary solution for our more immediate watering needs. I included brass quick connectors to each end of the Y-valve for easy hose installation and removal as needed.When the rain barrels are set up, I will interconnect them using a length of hose between corresponding Y-connections on each barrel. If I need to shut off water flow to any of the barrels for any reason, I can turn off the main valve on the Y-connector and leave the other two open and water will still flow to the other barrels.For now, I have one side of the Y-valve being used as an input with a garden hose from our existing rain barrel to fill the temporary barrel. The other end of the Y-valve is used to water the garden. I used a male-to-male hose connector on one side of the Y-valve to allow input from the garden hose running from the other rain barrel (located near the house and downspout). A simple yet effective solution without having to drill multiple holes in the barrels.

Price was less than others and delivery on time. The single best thing is that the unit is solid brass. So far - so good.

I use this to split the output from my water timer to irrigate my backyard garden. It's nice to be able to shut off either side if I want to. It does not leak at all. Made with excellent quality materials, and the workmanship is satisfactory. My only gripe is that the valves for each output are stiff and hard to turn, but that's better than having it leak. I've used it for only one summer season, and am happy with it thus far. I will remove and store it during freezing weather, so I will not have any results for a freeze test.

It works as advertised. Great for running two hoses. You can manually shut off either side. Beats dragging one hose around. Seems to be very good quality that will last for years.

Worked well for first year, started leaking in second year. Virtually unusable now. Stay away, pricy and unreliable.
