OverviewThe XProls Microcentrifuge Tubes with a 1.5 ml capacity and screw caps are designed for versatile laboratory use. This review is based on personal testing, assessing their effectiveness in sealing liquids and their durability under sterilization conditions.Pros- Effective Sealing: The screw caps function excellently, showing no signs of leakage, which is crucial for storing liquids, seeds, plant tissue, and fungal samples.- Preference for Screw Caps: The screw cap design is preferred over pop caps, offering better security and ease of use.- Durability Under Sterilization: These tubes withstand a pressure sterilizer cycle at 250F for 20 minutes without any distortion or warping, indicating high material quality and resilience.Cons- Specific Use-Case: While they excel in the tested conditions, their performance in other laboratory settings or with different materials is not covered in this review.Final ThoughtsXProls Microcentrifuge Tubes are a reliable choice for those in need of sturdy, leak-proof storage solutions in laboratory environments. Their ability to remain intact and functional even after rigorous sterilization is a significant advantage. For users who prefer screw caps for added security and ease, these tubes are an excellent option. However, users should consider their specific needs and potentially further testing for other use-cases.

Worked well for what I needed. However about 75 of them were a different style tube that I can't use-they have a snap close cap.

The XProls Microcentrifuge Tubes 1.5 ml Polypropylene Screw Cap, Clearl Pack of 500 are perfect for your micro centrifuge batches, and affordable enough to not have to "hoard" your tubes for paint or formula mixing (other uses probably have fewer hoarders).Great quantity and have seen quality throughout all I've used thus far.Thick enough to be sturdy, but light enough to stay balanced in the machine and not bog down my "ultra light" model (upgrading that very soon to a better centrifuge!).Never sure with new brands if you're going to get consistent quality through the batch, but these have good uniformity through the package. Made well, and caps stay put.Five stars and can recommend!

Nice fitting cap and durable feeling tubes, tested durability up to 10,000 xg for a few minutes and tubes showed no damage. One thing that would be nice is graduated markings for volume on the sides of tubes.

This size offers a lot of Flexibility and Volume for a variety of uses. I placed 1.5 ml of juice in the tube (Pic #2) and I was surprised that there was an Air Bubble! This tube can handle upto a full 2 ml (pic #1). Picture #3 and #4 shows the attached screw on lid, and the case. I placed the tube on it's head and left it on the counter for 3 days, not a drip. I am using it to hold pre configured scents, it will hold liquids and powders. I would not hesitate to place this into a Centrifuge and spin it. I think it would hold up well. It is truly a great vial.

These seem just as good as any name brand microcentrifuge tube. I've check water tightness and no problems there. The plastic is rigid enough. I worked in labs for years and I'd have no issues using them in a lab setting. Overall these are a good deal and I would definitely consider ordering again.

These are proper centrifuge tubes - I've run them at 15K in my Eppendorf centrifuge, autoclaved them at 15PSI for 60 minutes with LMEA, and then left them out for a week to make sure nothing got past the seal to grow on the agar. I use them all around my lab for various operations, they're quite handy - and being able to trust the seal is paramount for certain applications (the flat snap versions give me anxiety).

These are really nice tube, price do makes a difference in quality. The lid screw tight and tube is durable.I personally used these to store conophytum seeds in the fridge, and this was perfect for it. No need to worry about the lid popping off (unlike the more common ones)
