Laid a 50ft brick pathway, used this to dig the channel for the edge and break the hard clay/rock soil in the middle to be shoveled out. Was a little hesitant to buy in case this was a poor cheap item, but has worked fine and i am very happy with purchase. The "extras" (gloves, eye protection, mask, oil can) seem like a joke, not sure why company even bothers (maybe legal). Instruction manual could use a little more clarity, i've never used this type of tool before and was not securing the implements correctly at first (figured it out).Only slight "issue" i've encountered was the safety feature where the implement won't start hammering if it doesn't detect a solid surface - this snagged me up a few times when i first started (not a big deal, just slightly annoying) but by the end of the project it wasn't happening at all so it seems you just get used to whatever the proper technique for handling the tool is.Overall great purchase, very satisfied, can't beat the price.

We were trying to dig in our clay soil in August and September, and it might as well have been concrete. The pickax would only go about a 1/2 inch into the dirt. It was back breaking and extremely slow. This thing changed my life. It cuts through clay like butter. Worth every penny! And it was 1/4 the cost of a Makita or similar brands. I don't know how long it will last, since I have only had it a month, but so far so good, and even if it died tomorrow, I still got my money out of it, since the trench I was digging would have taken me so much longer, and would have been so much harder to do.

I admit that for the price I had some qualms. I needed not worry! This thing has some impressive power! It cuts through concrete easily. I also used it on some very dense large plant root system. It was impervious to a shovel but the concrete blade easily split it. I am pleased with the purchase and its operation. Note, it does need some oil you must purchase. 5w-30w was fine.

Purchase the electric hammer to remove tile from the floor, with the flat bit it worked great. I’m going to bust up some concrete next. Good tool for the money, it saved a lot of time.

I am 5’ 7†(not very tall) and I feel the tool is a little too short. I have to bend down a little to use it and it puts a toll on my lower back. Other than that, it’s awesome! I have been using it on dirt and concrete and it really does the job. Worth every penny.
