These are a dramatic upgrade from the cheap floppy drip rings that come with most paddles. They took some work to wiggle onto my Carlisle Magic Plus paddle shaft, though that can be expedited with a little dish soap. Expensive? Compared to what? I'm confident they will last the life of my paddle.

Forgot I installed these and halfway through my kayak trip I realized my legs weren’t wet. They definitely work MUCH better than the standard rings. Installation was easy enough just used a dab of lotion.

The design of these rings is an excellent common sense design. These rings should be standard on all paddles. Prior rings are nothing more than a flat disk shape that attempts to block the water flow on the shaft. When the blade is in the upright position, the water strikes the flat ring and then dumps into the kayak or flows over and past the ring. These YakAttack are not a flat ring but a cup which catches and holds the water. The water then dumps as the blade is lowered for the next paddle sweep. Material is the same hard rubber as quality paddle rings and will tightly fit a 30 mm shaft diameter. Easy to fit and I'll be upgrading all my expensive Werner Paddles with these YakAttack rings.

It seems to be of a thicker material than most and the design catches the water better.
