I’m pleased with the connectors, the price, and the fast delivery. The connectors are sized for 4 gauge cables, but I had no trouble folding the 12 gauge wire back on itself twice, so I ended up with four pieces of wire in the connector, and then it was a close fit. I placed the connector in a V-block, positioned a dull screwdriver with the blade parallel to the wire in the connector, and gave it a good whack with a hammer. It made a good solder ready connection. I then heated the assembly with a small propane torch, then inserted small diameter rosin core solder in the connector and the heat melted the solder, making a very solid connection. I finished by using heat shrink tubing the connetor and the wire.I’ve only tested the connector twice in my garage, but the connectors Joined and disconnected with an acceptable effort, snug, but removable.

I bought this to delete my snow plows expensive factory connection. Works awesome and have plugs on multiple pickups to power the same plow without spending 200 bucks on the factory power supply from the plow company.

Title and ASIN are included in the review because sometimes reviews get re-sorted and are no longer associated with the correct product.The Yakefly 175A Quick Connectors shipped quickly and were packaged reasonably in a padded envelope. Within the padded shipping envelope, the connectors arrived retail packaged in a clear recloseable bag, and within this bag were two nests and four pins.The Amazon listing clearly states that the included pins are for "2 to 4 gauge" wires, but this is NOT what was included with the Yakefly kit. What I received included four pins for size 1/0 wires! These are much larger than expected. The wire I plan to use with these nests is 4 AWG so the size difference is extra pronounced. No wonder this item is marked a "Frequently returned item".

Right off the bat it wasn't right. Says 2 to 4 awg but the pins are for 1/0 awg. So to crimp to 2 awg it has ears which doesn't allow it to click in. That is a huge difference in wire gaguge.
