Your cart is empty.The Yamaha ENG-METER-4C-01 Deluxe Engine Meter (Hour/Tach) helps you keep track of your engine's operating hours. The Deluxe Engine Meter includes pre-programmed service intervals at 10 hours (initial) and every 50 hours thereafter. A flash alert displays for a 2-hour period upon reaching the specified interval. It includes hour meter and tachometer functions. The operating temperature is -40-degrees Fahrenheit to 160-degrees Fahrenheit. The -40-degree Celsius battery life is 7-10 years (non-serviceable). It works with all Yamaha gasoline generators and pumps.

Installed the hour meter on my 90 Hp outboard motor. It is underneath the cover so it will be necessary to remove cover to check the engine hours for maintenance and oil changes. But at least I can do that now. Too bad Yamaha doesn’t provide one for the motor anyway for the cost of the motor itself it seems logical that it would have a meter for that.

I purchased this in conjunction with my Yamaha EF2400i generator to keep track of the hours for maintenance. Very easy installation. I decided to install it permanently on the front panel with the screws. I chased the lines through the panel, under the fuel tank to the spark plug wire. Everything is included for the installation. I read somewhere the sealed battery only lasts three years. Even at this, with a purchase price of $10.00 it will be a easy and inexpensive change-out for the next three years. Well worth the price. Less than an hour on the installation.

Good quality. Screen is very easy to see. Installation didn’t take too long after watching a how to video. The last generator that I purchased I bought a cheep one of these (not YAMAHA) and the quality was not good and the screen was hard to see. Spend the extra $$ and get a good quality one like this. Yamaha puts out good products.

Compared to units nearly 1/5th the price you would wonder why buy this Yamaha unit. Well, this is the second unit I have purchased but this one is for my new generator, the first unit is on my 7 year generator and still functioning perfectly. Most of the cheap meters offer only hour tracking and not with a RPM display. I figure with a seven year perfect track record on my first unit why take a chance on a cheap one.

I have purchased 2 of these for my two Yamaha generators. There are cheaper knockoffs available but this shows RPMs and engine hours. Works very well with only one wire installation. Can be velcroed or screwed in to mount on your generator.

Easy to install. Works well. You Tube has several good instalation videos which helped me greatly to decide where to install it. Like it

Well made product. Looks like all any other of its kind. Waterproof, sealed and simple. For the price, its not cheap. There are non-branded devices that function the same for much much less. Though this is very well made.

So here it is guys.. smaller than I expected but I think it’s a perefect size to mount on a quad. I will do an update once I slap it on the bike.
