Like all trumpet players I'm always looking for a better mouthpiece. Not one that will play the trumpet for me, but one which will most easily allow me to play the trumpet to the best of my ability. Knowing Thomas Hooten's reputation and beautiful sound and control of the trumpet I took a chance on this mouthpiece and I am very happy with it. The notes slot extremely well with it, the shape of the rim is very comfortable on my lips, and it has just the right amount of resistance to allow my trumpet tone to really shine. And my upper register, the goal and frustration of many trumpet players is coming into shape better than with any other mouthpieces I've played.

It is very hard to find well designed mouthpiece that has a balanced and easy tone production. The Hooten Yamaha mouthpiece is well suited for advanced players. The silver plating seems to be of higher quality, feels different than the standard Yamaha series.

This is a good sounding mouthpiece. I find it to be more comfortable than other nice mouthpieces I have used. This one seems to be a combination of comfort and helping play high notes. It produces a good sound. I’m replacing a very old 7c after picking trumpet back up after years. I recommend this one especially for comfort and good sound quality.

This mouthpiece is incredible. I am a recently graduated high school senior who played principal trumpet for our school and district band and orchestras. This mouthpiece is the best piece I have ever used for concert repertoire. I switched over from a Bach 5c and was able to adapt extremely quickly. The tone is extremely full and the upper register sounds amazing. I highly recommend this mouthpiece for intermediate-professional level players.

(From my understanding) Based upon a 1.25C which I had been playing matched with Bach ML37 Stradivarius, this orchestral mouthpiece is a stunner. With much the same feel but with a little more air, it slots much more easily adding better tone and few more steps of range without an embouchure change. [Note, I am a comeback player. ]

Por el precio es una boquilla de buena calidad, lógicamente cada quien utiliza diferentes medidas, pero a mi me quedó muy bien, ya que me gustan las boquillas grandes, si tuviera que compararla serÃa como una 3C… tal vez un poco más grande, el rim es más amplio y por ende es muy cómodo! Por el precio creo que vale la pena

Necesitaba cambiar a una boquilla más grande que fuera adecuada para estudiar música clásica profesionalmente, es hermosa y muy cómoda, recomendada. :)
