Use this for cleaning both the neck and mouthpiece on my alto sax. Pretty straightforward like most cleaning silks but I will say that the quality is top notch as is its effectiveness. Other larger cloths/silks can be a bit difficult to get through the neck and mouthpiece. Smooth and easy process with this one. Recommended.

I thought/think that they are expensive. But, they are great....long lasting, really work, and never get stuck inside of your sax.....like many of the "cheaper" ones. Do yourself and your horn a favor. Oh, get the alto swab for the alto, and tenor for the tenor. They really won't work well if you have the wrong size.

The material is more of a silky satin, which is kind of weird for something you are looking to wipe the moisture out of a tenor sax neck or mouthpiece with. It is NOT microfiber. I was skeptical, but like all things Yamaha, they thought it through and it works just fine. I will say that one cool thing is that it dries really fast and I wouldn't imagine it would allow for mold to grow on it like the old fashioned swabs.

Cannot imagine a better swab as far as construction quality and the fabric characteristics. I have the Yamaha monster swab for the tenor saxophone made out of the same green fabric and the same high level of construction. A superior tool indeed. 100% satisfied with this product.

Works great! More absorbent than it looks. Also y'all, this is specifically a neck and mouthpiece swab. Don't buy it thinking it's supposed to be used on the body of your instrument

Yamaha's swabs are so much better than any others I've tried. I use a fullsize one for the body; and this one for the neck.

Honestly, no one here has pointed out the most important fact. You can't use this for an alto sax.
