These are constructed from a two piece stamped steel form. Then a steel bearing is sandwiched between. Obviously not made for heavy loads. However using many of them together greatly enhances their load capability. There is no lubrication so it's just the ability of the steel bearing to spin within its formed cavity.

I got these to make a tool carousel. The balls roll smoothly and the backside is enclosed. If you need to make a surface that slides easily on another surface, try these out.I would not use these with the ball directly on the floor, I think it would pick up too much dirt.
