Step 1: Lift left side checkbook compartment
Lift the checkbook compartment with your thumb and index finger and separate the individual checks from the back cover of the checkbook.
Step 2: Slide checkbook into compartment
Slide the back cover of your checkbook under compartment and also under the clear plastic divider used to separate checks not being used from the check currently being filled out.
Step 3: Lift built-in clear plastic divider
Step 4: Use plastic divider to separate checks

I have never bought a checkbook cover before this purchase. I typically just use the cheap ones that come free with your checks when you order them. I wish I would have purchased this book cover a long time ago.Looks- It is super sleek and classy. The color is like a taupe. It's a very classic and neutral color.Durability- Seems to be well made. The stitching looks good and clean. I would assume with how often I use my checkbook (a few times a month) it will last years to come.Functionality- I love that it has the clear plastic divider to place between checks. It has a spot for the checks to slide into as well as 2 other pockets on the side and the top of the book. There's also a pen holder spot in the middle of the cover. One thing I noticed that I am super happy with is the strap to keep the checkbook cover closed and secured.Cons- The only con I can come up with for this is the slot for the pen is great until you put a pen inside it and try to close it, it closes especially cuz you have the strap available, but it doesn't like more than a plain pic sized pen. So, I just suggest a plain sized bic pen if you're going to store one in there.I bought in another color! Highly recommend these checkbook covers!

I love this product. I'm old school and still use a few checks for things as well as write down all my purchases in a checkbook register. This cover is beautiful and durable. I love the band to hold it closed and preventing any receipts from falling out before I get a chance to record them. Highly recommend!

This is a beautiful checkbook cover that's sturdy, inexpensive and well made. Amazon offers a variety of colors from which to choose. Not only do the checks fit well but there's a same-colored band that holds all items in place along with small storage for receipts or cash.

I picked this checkbook for the color. I can find it easily in my purse instead of pulling everything out to find the last one I had which was a dark blue. That being said the checkbook cover is oh good quality & price. The band that wraps around this checkbook keep the checks from being bent. I love this purchase.
