I've vacuum a new recovery tank with a regular sized hole and it took 15 minutes to reach 500 microns. I then vacuumed another new recovery tank with this new hose and it reached 500 microns in less than 2 minutes. No doubt in my mind this hose size works. I bought another one. My will spend much less time on my jobs when vacuuming and evacuating hvac systems.

This hose will allow you to pull a vacuum much faster than with a 1/4" hose. I ran a comparison test to pull a vacuum on an empty 30 pound recovery tank using a Robinair 5 cfm 2-stage vacuum pump. WIth the 1/4" hose, it took 24 minutes to reach a vacuum of 500 microns. With this hose, it took 5 minutes. They say time is money and the less time I have to wait to pull a vacuum, the more money I can make. This hose paid for itself on my first job.

i have to admid that it is not as flexible as i would like to be, but maybe is becouse the really low temperature in this winter. anyway, it is no enough excuses to no give it 5 start. i pull a vacuum to 200 microm in 5 minuntes in a 3 ton system. that is what matter the most
