About this item

  • Sight glass to easily view refrigerant movement and condition during charging and recovery
  • Exclusive 100-mesh filter in-line on all flare fittings helps keep out particulate material and extend the life of the seat
  • Front access for easy field recalibration double “O” ring piston for reliability and long service life

4-Valve test and charging manifold provides the flow that's proven faster than any conventional manifold. The aluminum alloy body is forged for strength and reliability with 3/8" bores through the body to speed the job. Heavy duty hook won’t pull out. Also available with 3-1/2" (90 mm) red and blue liquid-filled gauges. Fourth hose enables connection to hi-/lo-sides, refrigerant tank and recovery unit or vacuum pump for diagnostics, evacuation and charging without switching hoses. Available in 1/4" hi-/lo-sides with 3/8" vacuum port for regular jobs, or 3/8" hi-/lo-sides with 1/2" vacuum port for larger systems.

I've been useing the Brutte II and other manifold gauges sets at work and home for years. I really like Yellow Jacket products a lot. The Brute II is one of my favorite gauges. The biger bores(compared to other manifold bars) in the manifold really help flow, a big plus on a bigger system. Of my personal MGS this one is the essayist to rebuild IMHO! A 4 valve manifold is the way to go, you just have to pay attention and a understanding of how they work. Not only is it nice to have on some systems it's a necessaty! The set I brought has the p/t charts for R22, R404A, and R410A. I got them for home and work, 404A for work( refer trucks and trailers), R22 for home (untill I run out of it in my 30# / can't fix my unit anymore), and I mostly bought it for the gauges now that the higher pressure systems like 410A, since I know the days coming that I'll be working on it/ my home unit will be one.Although it throws me of for a min from time to time, especially when I switch back and fourth between my gauge sets. I must say that it is nice having the higher pressure gauges especially on the compound gauge, it has come in handy a few times, I don't know how much it really helps me but I like having the extra 230 psi for getting readings at times instead of just reading retard.I could have just swapped gauges on one of my other manifolds. But it's always good to have a few manifold gauge sets. Not just for working on multiple units(fleet mechanic) but having a back up is necessary when things get busy and you have a lot of units to keep running in peak season!I know some HVAC pros like other brands over Yellow Jacket. But I don't understand why. Most everything Yellow Jacket I've owned/used has been top notch. Some of witch has been shop tools ie: they've been beat to hell, for the most part they work every bit as good as my JY tools witch I take care of. Whether you are working on a big system, moving up to a 4 valve manifold, or just want a top of the line heavy duty rugged manifold gauge set. This is the one you need. It will last a life time if you care for it, know how to ues it properly (It your looking at this type gauge set, I assume you do)and you won't have any problems other than the parts that are ment to wear out ie: valve kits, o rings, etc.

Yellow jacket is one of the best in the business. Bought this set to replace an older set that needed new seals. Didn't have time to change them. Used on a r 22 system

I bought this mainly because my last set of yellow jacket gauges didn't have that rubber protection. I found out the hard way when I kept pulling hose off valve and releasing that little bit of refrigerant after the hose already on manifold. That eventually gunked-up the low-side gauge and the needle would go to say 50psi when it is 70psi. So this one is way better than the smaller YJ gauge set. I think worth spending the money. Still not convinced I want to go digital because I can see me breaking one or getting it wet etc. Plus analog is so simple and reliable.

After dealing with Testo and Fieldpiece digital gauge sets failing and giving inaccurate readings I've decided to go back to analog gauges. These are tough as nails and accurate. Coupled with a nice temperature meter and you're ready to rock without expensive digital gauges. Do the calculations in your head... it's better practice as a pro.

I’ve used only once, changed hose connection to 3/8 makes for fast vaccum, but couldn’t get good reading when micron gauge was connected to charge port.

Duran mas los manómetros económicos que estos, ya que solo me duro 20 días y dejo de marcar el manómetro de baja presión, y no se puede calibrar es como si se hubiera roto internamente.
