My daughter has been in orchestra since middle school and goes thru strings regularly. Our local music store closed so we had to find another source. As much as I like to support local small businesses there are times you need to order from Amazon. These are excellent quality and she does not seem to need them as often as she used to. I don't know if that has to do with the quality of the strings or her playing.

I installed these on a hundred year old 3/4 sized German student fiddle. They sound better than I expected and it’s hard to beat the price. You get two sets in the box, each set in a little baggie. The only thing I don’t like is that there’s no color guide to tell you which string is what—I had to use a micrometer to tell the G from the D. I’ll be ordering more. Do they sound like top quality Perlon or gut strings? Of course not but it’s a nice sounding steel core string set for student fiddles.

These are great strings. The sound very good. I use them for my Bluegrass playing.

Sounds good for the price. About the same as the strings that cost twice the price, but definitely not professional strings. They will work for learning to play a little.
