Product Description

An power window motor is also called a window lift motor, or a car glass lift motor. It is the electrical motor that when attached to the power window regulator, raises the window glass up and down. When the window switch is depressed or raised, which creates an actuation telling the window motor whether to move forward or backward. As the motor gear moves forward and backward, the regulator gear or cable spool wheel is also moved. YHTAUTO window motors are specifically designed to achieve the performance and function of OEM components.

How to Figure Out if Window Motor Fails?

1. Use the owner's manual when looking for fuse boxes and other electrical components connected to the window motors. Check if the fuse is blown. In case of damage, a new fuse with the same amperage should be replaced.

2. After removing the power window relay, install a jumper (terminals 30 and 87) to see whether the motor is working or not. If the power window works when using a jumper, there is no problem with the motor.

3. The reading should be around 12VDC for terminal 4 and terminal 5. Terminals 1-4 and 2-3 should have a reading of less than 1 ohm if the switch is open. If the switch is close, you should be able to observe low resistance from terminals 1-3 and 2-5. Low voltage is an indication of a motor or switch problem.

4. Connect the electrical connector to the motor and try operating the window. If the motor is good, you should see some movement or hear some noise coming from the motor. If you see movement, the regulator is usually at fault. If the motor shows no movement, it’s probably bad.

Replacement for faulty window motor for a 1994 Camaro (passenger side). Worked as intended and installed pretty easily.

Fit perfectly and works great so far (installed 2 days ago). The screws & nuts included work perfectly. With window closed/raised, after drilling out factory rivets, install it with the screws and you can reach thru door from below to get up behind the motor to put the nuts on and hold them with a tiny wrench. Large hands arms make it difficult, find a skinny armed friend.

The holes in this need to be drilled out to match the OEM screws and do not allow for the use of the OEM washers. It's a VERY cheap clone that will work but needs to be adapted.
