A remote would be nice but it’s not required. Would’ve just been easier to reach, but, remotes can get lost. Our family has now bought several of these as we live in an area that has power outages and they work amazing during those times. They also work well around the house, I especially love them next to the bed for reading, ambience, etc. having a low medium and high built-in is great depending on your need. The touch button is very sensitive and took a little getting used to, touching it in the wrong spot without having to feel all over the place. During the last power outage, I didn’t think to take a picture of how bright they can illuminate the house when there is no power that said, our home is not a mini, but is also not huge I like that you can buy them in various colors to blend in with their decor, my daughter, figure it out an easy way to recharge them without having to remove them from the wall and take them to a charging port. For that we purchased a small battery bank and two male to female/C connectors. I’ll add pictures soon and put the links to the add on items mentioned. We keep the battery banks charged up and ready to go. Plus you can throw one in your purse for the day when you’re gonna be out and about and might need to charge your phone or some other electronic item. The lights seem to hold a good charge, but our add-ons make it nice especially during a power outage to just hook up the battery pack without having to remove it from the wall. The swivel is a bonus. I like being able to have it down when I’m reading or facing up or even towards a different wall depending on the lighting I am looking for. In case you don’t read the dimensions, they are a little smaller. The pictures really sold me on these lights. I thought they'd be perfect in my bedroom. I recently gave birth and didn't want to turn on the lights in the middle of the night to feed my LO. I stuck these to my canopy bed and would turn them on and point them towards me while I breastfed. I liked the magnetic aspect since it allowed the light to be moved for better lighting. After some light use, these lights really haven't seemed to be worth the expense. The battery doesn't last long at all. At most, I get a few uses of 10-15 minutes or less before I have to charge them again. The lights aren't super bright during the day time and only shine enough for up close use. Like using the light directly next to it. They do seem stylish, but after setting them up, they don't give the look I was expecting. Also, even without changing the direction of the light too much, they start to get top heavy and change direction so I've got to adjust them every time I turn them on - which can be a little annoying in the middle of the night while breastfeeding. They're nifty little lights, but only really worth it for direct lighting for a task.

These are cute and I love that they are renter friendly. I was able to attach mine just using a sticky attachment instead of putting holes in the wall. The only reason I’m giving it three stars instead of ofive is that I found the lights are not strong and are more accent/mood, than functional lights.I was also a little bit disappointed with the battery life. After I charge them, they do not last long at all. Sometimes I had to recharge them the same day and would have liked something that is lower maintenance than that.

purchased these to put over the bed in our murphy bed. since they are magnetic, the little ball can stay on the wall when we fold up the bed and we take the lights off and put them in the bedside table. Very bright, love that they last quite a few hours before needing to be recharged. Also love the fact that they are removable (so we can close up the bed) and position-able so you can aim the light where you want it.there are several levels of brightness as well as a soft yellow light or bright daylight.

Battery life is extremely poor. Battery completed charging in 5 hours and it doesnt even last long for more than 2 hours… i wouldnt recomment it at all

Love the fact that they have a dimmer feature and they rotate 360 degrees. Dry nice addition to our guest room and den.
