This file cabinet came well packaged and protected. It is well built and I like the layout and style for this cabinet. I am hoping to purchase another one when Black Friday rolls around. I like that the interior drawers are not just bare metal but has a powder coated lining. My only concern was the actual keys. I've never seen where the key and plastic casing are flexible (bends up to 90*) without it being a solid piece. I appreciate that this cabinet came with easy to pull handles. I would certainly recommend this cabinet. I did not install the castor wheels just yet but I will. Also another selling point is the option of installing castor wheels. I don't know too many people who want to move a file cabinet and bust a gut without at least some castor wheels installed.

The unit arrived with a dent in the bottom right that makes the entire bottom drawer unable to open. Not to mention the top drawer refuses to open as well no matter what orientation I put the key in sadly. Looks nice and the shipment was easy but I can't use this for my files at all.Edit: Great customer support, they helped me out. Thanks for the quick fix.

Buyer Beware!! All of the 5 star reviews are based on the previous manufacturing of this product, not what is being sold now. I purchased this filing cabinets in May, 2023, Loved it, very quality, told friends about, even ordered a second a few days later. This product WAS so well made I came back to buy a third, only to discover that it is now a completely different product, the packaging has changed, now with very little protection, the metal used is different than before, corners and edges are dented, the drawers do not open without extreme force, and once they do, reveal scratches from the rubbing. Amazon requested that I contact the seller before returning and Yitahomes suggestion was to use a screwdriver to pry open the drawer. Unacceptable. I then ordered another, thinking that they sent out a used unit, only to receive the next in worst condition. If a company changes manufacturing after the product has become popular, it should adjust its price substantially to account for the reduction in quality. This new product that is now being sold would not have the current rating it has. I SUGGEST YOU STEER CLEAR. I'll be leaving a second review for the other that I purchased as well. Buyers should know these ratings do not reflect their current product.

Updated Review:Please read below if you have the lock problem as it's an easy fix. Today we received a refund and I just wanted to thank Amazon and the Seller for extending that to us. Hopefully our other issues were a one off problem, and as we received a refund I've updated the rating to what I would have selected if the drawer/lock was the only issue we had with our unit.Original Review:First, if you order this for your student going to dorm or something where it may sit awhile, but sure to check packaging! Unfortunately for us we didn't have time to inspect until move-in day and found that our unit shipped without wheels, and it has some slight dents/imperfections that makes me believe it might have been a return that was repackaged and sold again. We were outside the Amazon return window.Second, the locking mechanism is very easy to get jammed, this is why there are newer reviews complaining about the units getting stuck in the drawer locked position, even when the lock is turned to "open." However, its not the lock itself that is the problem, but instead the mechanism that is engaged on the right side of the drawers in combination with an open slot near the front bottom of each of the two top drawers. Our unit jammed within two days causing loss of access to a set of keys and wallet. In trying to trouble-shoot the issue without having to break or cut into the drawers, we found the front recessed handles can be popped out if you apply enough force, they are just held in with friction. Once you remove the plastic handle you will have a slot large enough to fit your hand in. Only two items were in our drawer, and the keys or something on the keychain had managed to slip into the open slot in the drawer and stop the lock from disengaging. Once the keys were freed, the lock moved more freely and the top drawer was able to be opened and closed freely and the lock now worked correctly. So it's not a fault of the lock per-se but the holes in the drawer allowing small objects, keys, pencils, pens, etc. to slip in and jam the lock mechanism.The fix is simple, just tape up the holes, being carful to not cover up the sliding rails. We used packing tape on both sides and so far so good, no more lock jam issues.Overall, if our product has shipped undamaged, and with wheels I think it would be a 4 star considering the lock jamming issue as that is easily fixed with tape. Yitahome please fix this drawer hole problem for future customers!

There was a problem with first one I received. None of the drawers opened easily, and one not at all. Then upon opening, the metal slider part had broken off rendering the drawer useless. I contacted the company and once my complaint was verified with a photo, they sent me another one. The second one is just fine, easy to screw on the bottom rollers and drawers open easily. Throughout it all, the replies from customer service were always fast and courteous and my replacement arrived well packaged and not damaged.

I needed a drawer unit for my home office work desk and took a chance on this unit since it looked nice, not the usual square box and it matches my desk space well. I was fortunate to get it on a black Friday special and saved a few bucks, but even at regular price I think this was well worth it. I was impressed with the way it was packaged for shipping and it arrived with no dents or scratches. They use a pair of aluminum brackets around the packing material to keep the box from getting crushed and damaging the unit. This extra attention to detail really shows. It is not some lightweight throw-away piece either. It is well built and the drawers slide in and out easily and lock into place with a noticeable catch.

This is a great filing cabinet. Good quality and looks nice. Purchased it for about a quarter of the price it is currently listed at. Certainly not worth almost $500.

One of the two descriptions says "2 locking castors and 2 omnidirectional". Mine are all omnidirectional and none lock. Not great in an earthquake zone.Description says "locking device and safety feature works on all 3 drawers" Mine works on top 2 drawers only. There is also way too much play in the drawer front in the locked position, easy to pry open.The main outside skeleton is substantial steel but the drawer sides and drawer fronts are flimsy.Looks nice, very heavy. Would be nice to have side lifting handles.
