Just started my new addiction: Shahiko. Pattern printed clearly with directions in Japanese as well as English. Easy to follow illustrations. Very relaxing.

I recently discovered Sashiko and while I'm really interested in using this technique for mending as well as decorating and/or reinforcing existing clothing items, I bought a few kits with preprinted patterns on cotton fabric.This Maneki Neko was my first picture Sashiko project and I learned a lot between the time I started and when I finally finished, including making a Hatamusubi, a joining knot, to continue sewing with a new piece of thread that's just knotted onto the last thread, instead of making multiple knots.I used 4 different colors of embroidery thread that I already had, but have also purchased Sashiko thread, which is slightly thiner and (I think) easier to work with than the thicker embroidery thread.I like to think of these preprinted fabrics as practice projects, preparing myself to do some free-form and also super geometric designs in the near future.

You receive a traditional design printed on good fabric. You have to buy the appropriate needle and choose the thread. I haven’t finished it so I can’t judge whether it washes out as it’s supposed to. Unfortunately the instructions aren’t adequate for someone with no prior experience. Some parts are confusing. If you have some experience however, it’s nice to have the design already printed on the cloth.

I love Sashiko and cats, so had to get this. When it arrived, there were no stitch directions included in the package. I spread it out to prepare it for stitching and found that the stitch directions were printed directly on the fabric! A beginner to the art of Sashiko would be likely to mistake these lines for part of the design and stitch them, so I am giving this product 3 stars.Other than that, the fabric is great and the design depicts a sweet little Maneki Neko cat with it's paw raised.

The fabric is a nice thin cotton. The print-is very well done. I was disappointed because this is the second daruma package i buy. The first one had the threads included. I checked on the box in the pictures and it said the threads numbers but when i received it there are no threads! Not cool, I’ve just been on Ali to buy threads. It changes the price!

darumaの刺し子布ですが、一目ざしシリーズは凝ったデザイン、可愛いデザインたくさん出てきてますね。森デザイン、仕上げると恐ろしく裏が細かく、複雑に糸が渡ります。斜めに糸が何本もわたるので中級車から上級者向け。（ベテラン向けといったほうがいいかな）思っているより手ごわくかなり日数を要します。
