After over a year of suffering through and worrying about an extremely noisy inducer assembly I ordered this replacement. It arrived, safely packaged, very quickly, and after a bit of hesitation, I proceeded to remove old part, and install this one, with a bit of difficulty due to the lack clearance at the upper flange to the furnace housing. Nonetheless, it was very straight forward and functions wonderfully!! Ah, the sounds of relative silence are delightful!!! (The old internal impeller 'squirrel cage' fan was out of balance and hitting its cast aluminum housing.)NOTE: A quick tip - there is a notch at the bottom-most mounting screw location, rather than a hole. Start one of the self-tapping sheet-metal screws in this location, and one can rest the assembly on it, while locating and starting the remaining screws to fasten to the furnace housing. Then it's a simple matter of tightening the screws - I'd recommend alternating sides to get an even seating of the assembly's gasket against the furnace wall.

When we turned the heat on for the first time this year, our furnace made a loud humming sound and would not produce any heat. Diagnosing that it was the draft inducer, I came to Amazon to look for a replacement part and came across this listing.After ordering and receiving the package, I found that the part was packed securely and in new condition. After installing the new draft inducer and testing the furnace, we have heat again!

This is actually the second time we have replaced the same part on this furnace. The first was about four years ago. We skimped and bought a no name brand unit. The first year was fine but then it started making more and more noise. Finally, it just seized up completely. After receiving this unit, we could tell right away that it was better built and at much higher quality then the one it replaced. Installation was fairly easy especially since we have some space around where our furnace is mounted. In less than an hour we were once again warm and cozy. Shipment was fast and it cost a lot less than I could find locally.

Ready to go right out of the box and an exact fit for my furnace. Expert installation not required as long as you know how to use a screwdriver and socket wrench. The housing for the motor also has new insulation which was a nice surprise.

First one I received was an out of box failure. Amazon made good on the unit and upgraded the shipping to 2nd day air for free. 2nd unit was packed by someone who cared and even marked it "fragile". 2nd unit is working great and price was awesome!
